Software Localisation

Software Localisation

We can assist you in successfully establishing your software in international markets, with the objective of creating a user interface that looks just as if it was developed for the target market. To this end, we will initially adjust the software to local conditions (e.g. date information, paper formats or keyboard layouts), and ensure linguistic and programming functionality. Only then do we begin with the task of translating the documentation, such as online help, handbooks or manuals.

We localise all current formats: e.g. HTML, XML, binary files (EXE, DLL, OCX, SYS), Windows resource script files (RC, RC2, DLG), Java, Microsoft.NET, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder files (PO), Visual BASIC files (FRM, VBP) as well as ODBC databases (MS Access, MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL or IBM DB2). We work with innovative and high-performance localisation tools. Already existing elements and structures of your software will be protected during the localisation process, and cannot be changed.

To ensure a successful localisation result, we take into account the following:

  • Text sections in script files (e.g. Java or ASP scripts)
  • Adaptation of FAQs and Help files
  • Preparation of hyperlinks in the target language (corresponding with the source language)
  • Ability to display fonts and special characters in the target language
  • Editing and preparation of texts which are embedded in buttons and graphics
  • Layout and font display in all current browsers
